About Us

Welcome

This coming year will be without a doubt a very memorable one as the eyes of the world will be on China in August 2008 as Beijing Hosts the Olympics Games. Also 2008 is an important year for our company as it marks the start of our second decade of helping to send clients to China. At such time as this it is important to reflect on our achievements over the last 10 years but maybe as important to start to plan for our next 10 years. The travel industry has gone through massive changes in the last 10 years from the introduction of e-tickets to the huge amount of information that is available to everybody just by utilising the ‘web browser’. In our market we have seen very little direct bookings via internet/web as China remains a ‘difficult’ country to navigate without an expert guide BUT over the next 10 years this is set to change. We will continue to offer our full guided tour service to our clients as well as advice and guidance to make the most of ‘a trip into the Orient’ but there will be a need for us also to offer more specialist tours and a need to help clients get below the surface and to explore China much more deeply that has been needed so far.

As always our brochure is designed to give you ideas and to show you what is possible from a holiday in China and to explain in clear English what is included in our tours and what is extra. We are constantly adding new experiences to our brochures but as we look back over the last 10 years we can see that our most popular tours remain those that give our clients good quality experiences to the major tourist cities and regions.

At the end of 2008 we will be getting ready for the final stage of the Yangtze Dam building programme and the flooding to full capacity in the spring of 2009. During the life of our company we have seen the transition of the central region of China that has occurred as a result of the dam’s construction. During our second decade we can now look forward to 2020 when it is predicted by many that China will become the second largest economy in the world and become a modern and fully developed country with huge increases in the standard of living for its 1.3 billion population. As always I finish by thanking you for looking at our brochure and hope that you will chose to book with us and that you will thoroughly enjoy exploring my country in the same way as many of our clients have done of the last ten years.

Ms Xiaodan Cheng
Managing Director
August 2007

We are always on the look out for new staff and ideally we are looking for widely travelled people who have spent some time in China and know a good number of the 'hidden' treasures of this remarkable country - please contact us
