21 April, 2009, HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN has been graciously pleased to confer Her Awards in 2009 upon the business units in recognition of their outstanding achievements in International Trade. China Holidays, the successful London-based China travel specialist, has been awarded the important Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its work in developing links between UK & China by promoting travel between the two countries.

China Holidays was established in the UK 12 years ago, since that time it has built up a reputation for both organizing British tourists to visit China and boosting trade between the two countries by bringing in regular number of Chinese business delegations.

China Holidays is the first China specialist travel company who ever won this award since the Queen’s Award was first instituted in 1966.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise is an awards program for British businesses and other organizations who excel at international trade, innovation or sustainable development. They are the highest official UK awards for British businesses. Awards are made on the advice of the Prime Minister after examination of applications by an Advisory Committee composed of leading individuals from industry, commerce, trade unions and government. The awards are conferred by the reigning British monarch on their birthday every year. For Elizabeth II this is 21 April.
