Ancient Porcelain Street was one of the most bustling streets in Jingdezhen at late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. The street earlier was located in urban district Mashixianong but decline and disappears in Middle of 20th century.


It is said that the street was the earliest porcelain street in Jingdezhen with 100 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. There are all kinds of porcelain had been sell along this street so got the name Porcelain Street. Later in 1980s, a new street in open air becomes to sell porcelain near Jingdezhen Center Plaza but move into buildings because of urban transformation.


There are two porcelain streets in Jingdezhen today: one is in Cidudadao, another one is  South Lianshe Road. Each of the streets has hundreds of porcelain shops, a large numbers of porcelain been sold from here every year.
