Cangshan Mountain (Diancangshan) located in Dali, Yunnan Province, is consist of 19 peaks. As per recorded, each of the 19 peaks is at an altitude of over 3500 meters, and seven of them are higher than 4000 meters above sea level.
Famous Scenery Spot
Cangshan Eighteen Streams---There are one stream flows down between each two peaks and runs into the Erhai Lake. The streams are called Eighteen Streams and became a popular scenery spot.
Cangshan Snow---Owing to high altitude, the top of Cangshan Mountain is permanently covered with snow and dressed in white. The Snow on Cangshan Mountain is one of the most famous attractions of Dali even in summer.
Jade Belt Cloud---Cloud around Cangshan Mountain is also significant, and the most famous scenery is called jade belt cloud. Local slang goes that when Cangshan wears jade belt, even stray dogs could eat rice, expressing that jade belt cloud indicates good harvest.
Butterfly Spring---Located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain Yunnong Peak, the Butterfly Spring is like a crystal gem with fascinating scenery. In April and May, a variety of flowers bloom and spread fragrance, which attracts numerous and various butterflies dance around the flowers and the spring.
