Shanghai Flower Port is located on 2 Zhengdong Road, Donghai Farm, Nanhui District and is arguably China's most famous flower exhibition centre. Over 3 million new flowers are planted each year, creating some stunning exhibitions.
Shanghai Flower Port is separated into 4 parts - the industrialisation production area, flower display area, science and leisure area and technique training area. It contains the largest solar-energy greenhouse in China as well. People can walk through the pavilions and enjoy the charm of the rivers and lakes there. Apart from these sight-seeing programmes, there is also some entertainment like riding carousels, or strolling through Holland Street, climbing the rope bridge, crossing the green maze and savouring tea in the wooden house.
The scenery in Shanghai Flower Market varies. From late March to late April, the largest tulip exhibition in China will be held in Shanghai Flower Port. More than 3.2 million tulips bloom then. From June to August is the hygrophyte display and from September to October is the chrysanthemum show.
