Nankai (means open to south) located north part of Shuicheng County, Guizhou Province named of the terrain there wide at southwest. It is the ethnic communities of Yi Nationality and Hmong. People there lived on planting crops in a tradition way in the past. The place is well-know for the Three Tang Miao jump Flower Festival held on here every year. 


Jump Flower Festival is the most solemn Miao has the longest history of traditional festivals. The Festival begins on the lunar calendar February 15. It is said that the festival held because of missed the separated relatives in old wars and many Hmong people will come from nearby counties.


After the founding of New China, the place is reserved as a special place to spend Miao jump. Since then, more and more people come here every year that day, and become the largest northwest of Guizhou national gatherings holiday, and becoming famous folk customs and foreign art fairs.
