Zhongshan Iron Bridge
Zhongshan Iron Bridge, officially called Zhongshan Bridge, is a must-see attraction of Lanzhou, Gansu Province. The bridge is located at the east of Yellow River Mother Sculpture, which is 234 meters long and 7.5 meters wide with 6 pillars and 5 steel arches.
The construction of Zhongshan Iron Bridge was completed in 1907, the Qing Dynasty. At the suggestion of the local officials, and with the support and help of the German businessman, Qing Government started to build the bridge over the Yellow River. Zhongshan Iron Bridge is the first bridge over the Yellow River of all the 10 bridges now spanning the Yellow River in Lanzhou, so the Zhongshan Bridge is entitled as First Yellow River Bridge.
