GUIYANG

Guiyang is a developing tourist city with plateau scenery as well as many ethnic groups. The capital of Guizhou province, it is the political, economic and cultural centre of Guizhou and a transportation hub in the southwest of China. It is a city with a long history and was the place where the Yelang ancient nationality gathered. There are many attractions both in and around the city :

Jiaxiu Tower

Also called the First Scholar's Tower, Jiaxiu Tower is situated on the Fuyu Bridge over the Nanming River. Originally built in 1598 during the Ming Dynasty, the tower is magnificent and unique, and of great cultural significance in Guiyang.

KAILI

For any visitors to Kaili, the lively Sunday Market is definitely worth a visit. As many Miao people live nearby, you can fully enjoy the beautiful traditional dresses worn by Miao girls and women as you walk along the streets.

Leigongshan Nature Reserve

Located 15 kilometres (9 miles) east of Kaili, Leigongshan is the most intriguing scenic area of the Miaoling Mountains. It gained its reputation as a National Nature Reserve due to the abundance of overlapping mountain ridges, flourishing plants, valuable and rare animals along with historic war remains.

Feiyun Cliff (Flying Clouds Cliff)

Feiyun Cliff is located at the foot of Mount Dongpo, 12 kilometres (7 miles) east of Huangping. It was originally built in 1443 in the Ming Dynasty and then restored several times during the Qing Dynasty. Feiyun Cliff is heavily wooded and its ancient buildings are harmoniously covered by the shade of the trees.

Langde Miao Ethnic Minority Village

As one of the most fascinating ethnic minorities in China, groups of Miao people are everywhere in southwest China, mostly in Guizhou Province. However, if you really want to experience their authentic ethnic culture, go and visit the Langde Miao Ethnic Minority Village in Kaili. Situated about 50 kilometres (31 miles) north of Kaili.

Maolan Karst Forest Natural Conservation

Maolan Karst Forest Natural Conservation is located in the southern suburbs of Libo County. It is well-preserved primeval subtropical forest of Karst topography.
