Embassies in Beijing

Most embassies are clustered in two Beijing neighborhoods, Sanlitun and Jianguomenwai. At the time of writing, some nations were planning to move their embassies to a new diplomatic district near the Lufthansa Center outside the northwest Third Ring Road. Therefore, it might be wise to call ahead before visiting your embassy.

Another reason to phone in advance is that most embassies' consular, commercial and visa sections are only open a few hours each day. Emergency assistance, on the other hand, is generally available 24 hours a day.
