Transportation

Airport – The airport is about 27km east of Hangzhou. A taxi will take about 45 minutes and cost RMB 60 at most. Buses will take about an hour.

Bus – The East Bus Station is the main hub for luxury and long distance buses. It's 3km northwest of the city. Lots of buses shuttle between Hangzhou, Shanghai and Suzhou.

Taxi –Hiring a taxi for tours around the lake can run between RMB 40 and 100, depending on your bargaining skills. You can get to most places for RMB 15 to 30; flag-fall is RMB 10.

Train – To the northwest is Hangzhou's new train station. Going to Shanghai takes about 2 hours on fast and comfortable trains.
