Shopping and Souvenirs

The most common souvenirs at Jiuzhaigou are Tibetan trinkets, but be aware of the quality, also be prepared to bargain. Necklaces and bracelets usually bear religious symbols or local script and make unique gifts. Musical instruments and traditional Tibetan clothing are also available; yak jackets are perhaps the most fetching item.

At all of the villages in Jiuzhaigou, vendors sell the scarf-like, a symbol of friendship given to guests on entering Tibetan home. Usually white, more colorful versions can be purchased. Wait until you're in Songpan for a wider range of traditional Tibetan products in one of the many stalls lining the streets there.
