Macau isn't known for its unique crafts or great shopping but clothes and Chinese furniture are cheap and worth browsing. Antiques can be found at reasonable prices around the Ruins of St. Paul's. Also worth checking out are gold and jade jewelry. Both benefit from low import taxes and many shops around Senado Square offer a wide variety of styles. Buying from licensed jewelers is recommended; otherwise, you could end up with a pricey, but worthless fake – be sure to get a warranty card. Gongbei Market in Zhuhai is where many Macanese shop and is a great place to find fake designer items to impress your friends with back home. Genuine name brand items can also be found but usually cost about the same as they do back home. Taipa Village has craft markets on Saturdays where you can find a number of traditional Chinese handiworks and trinkets like jade carvings, paper cuttings, wood engravings, and pottery and knot decorations.

The main shopping areas are along the Avenida doInfante D. Henrique and Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, Sao Domingos Market, Rua da Palha, Rua do Campo, and Rua Pedro Nolasco da Silva. Antiques can be found in the stalls around the Ruins of the Church of St. Paul's –remember to bargain and don't expect any treasures.
