Qingdao shell carvings made from seashells have different designs carved into them. Lao Shan Yunfeng tea is a type of green tea that's grown on Lao Shan. Lace made into curtains, table clothes and pillowcases is a local specialty. A local handicraft uses straw woven into a variety of goods like handbags and hats.

Some stores to do your shopping at include the Crafts and Arts Company at 212 Zhongshan Lu and the Wanglijiang Tea Center on 289 Lao Shan Zhong Lu.

Zhongshan Lu is the main shopping strip and is lined with many souvenir stores, boutiques and restaurants, making it an ideal place to spend a breezy afternoon window-shopping and sipping tea.
