Day 01 London/Beijing
Depart on the overnight flight to Beijing from London Heathrow.
Day 02 Beijing
On arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel for a four night stay. Afternoon at leisure to overcome any jetlag.
Day 03 Beijing
Morning visit the magnificent & mammoth cultural phenomenon that is the Ming Tombs, mausoleums of 13 Emperors, their Empresses & Concubines and the Sacred Road. Afternoon visit at the Great Wall at Badaling.
Day 04 Beijing
A day tour to Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city square which can hold over one million people, and the majestic, yet intricate palatial complex of the Forbidden City, then onto visit the Panda Hall and the attractive Summer Palace. Enjoy an evening of Traditional Chinese Culture with the Beijing Opera.
Day 05 Beijing/Xi'an
Visit the Temple of Heaven – China’s largest temple complex built in 1420, which is where Ming and Qing monarchs prayed for good harvests. You will then be transferred to the airport for your flight to Xi’an. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for 2 nights stay.
Day 06 Xi’an
Full day tour to the mighty army of
8000 Terracotta Warriors, the
Huaqing Hot Springs and Great
Mosque, which, built in 742 is the
largest mosque in China, covering an
area of 12000 square metres with
capacity for 1000 worshippers. You
will also spend some time looking
around the Muslim Quarter. A
speciality Dumpling Banquet dinner
has been arranged for tonight.
Day 07 Xi’an/Shanghai
Morning tour visit the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Take the afternoon flight to the
cosmopolitan city of Shanghai.
Day 08 Shanghai
Visit the classical Yu Garden, built in 1559 in both Ming and Qing styles, and the Old Town. After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha Temple built in 1882 and housing the mesmerizing jade statue of Sakamuni, and the excellent Shanghai Museum. Evening Acrobatic Show has been arranged.
Day 09 Shanghai/Zhouzhuang/Suzhou
Coach journey to the Ancient city of Zhouzhuang for a half day tour. In the afternoon drive to Suzhou, which is famous for its gardens.
One night will be spent in Suzhou.
Day 10 Suzhou/Shanghai
Morning visit the Humble Administrators Garden, Pan Gat, Garden of Fish Net and the Silk Factory. Take the coach back to Shanghai. Stay one more night in Shanghai.
Day 11 Shanghai/London
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to back to London Heathrow.
Arrive the same afternoon.
