Day 01 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, transfer to the hotel for four nights stay. Stay at 4* Hotel. No meal included today.
Day 02 Beijing
Morning visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China which covers 294 hectares. You will have lunch at The Hall of Listen Orioles where the empress Dowager Cixi enjoyed her meal and watched her favorite Beijing Opera. In the afternoon, visit the Tian’an Men Square, the world’s largest city square which can hold over one million people, then visit the majestic, yet intricate palatial complex of the Forbidden City, with its endless trove of palaces and treasures. Dinner has been arranged at Fangshan Restaurant in Beihai Park, which was built in 1925 by former Royal chefs of the Qing Dynasty.
Day 03 Beijing
Today we start with visiting the Great Wall at Badaling, lunch on the way, visit the Ming Tombs and the Scared Road in the afternoon. Dinner at Roast Duck Restaurant, you will have a chance to see how the duck is cooked.
Day 04 Beijing
In the morning visit the Temple of Heaven, then take the rickshaw visit Hutong to see typical life of traditional Beijing residence. Lunch with a local family, here you will lean how to make dumplings from a family member. Afternoon you will be transferred to the Culinary School to learn the Beijing Local food and some Royal dishes.
Day 05 Beijing/Xi’an
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to ancient capital of Xi’an. On arrival, transfer to the 4* hotel for two nights stay. After lunch at local restaurant, you will be visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. Dinner at Defachang Dumpling Restaurant, Established in 1936, the restaurant is famous for its Dumpling Banquet, you will have chance to taste more than 15 different dumplings including desert. |
Day 06 Xi’an
Visit the mighty army of 8000
Terracotta Warriors, lunch at the
local restaurant in the Terracotta
Warriors Museum. Visit the Huaqing
Hot Springs in the afternoon. Tonight
you will enjoy special local food of
beef or mutton soup with pancake
pieces at Tongshengxiang
Restaurant. You will need to put the
pancake into pieces by yourself whilechatting with your friends, when it
is all done, restaurant staff will take it
away to cook and bring back the broth
with beef or mutton at your choice.
Day 07 Xi’an/Chengdu
After breakfast you will be transferred
to the airport for your short fly to
Chengdu, famous
for 'hot food' cooking. On arrival, you will visit the
local Panda Centre. Dinner at Little Swan
Restaurant, where you may taste the most famous Sichuan Hot
Pot .
Two nights stay in Chengdu.
Day 08 Chengdu
Day tour to visit Leshan, the home to the tallest sitting Buddha in the world. Lunch at a local Leshan
restaurant. Afternoon back to Chengdu, visit Wenshu Temple, then join the locals at a Tea House. Enjoy
another spicy night in a local restaurant for Sichuan Cuisine.
Day 09 Chengdu/Guangzhou
Transfer to the airport for
the flight to Guangzhou. Go to a local
restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon,
visit Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memoral Hall, built in 1931. Dr. Sun Yat-sen is considered as
the pioneer of Cina’s bourgeois
democratic revolution. We will also visit
Chen’s Ancestral Temple(home of the Canton Art craft museum). It has incredible wood sculptures on the roofs, pillars, beams, and all around the building.) Afterwards a traditional Cantonese Garden Arts and Cantonese “Tea ceremony” is arranged. Dinner at “Guangzhou restaurant” which is one of the most famous restaurants in Guangzhou for Cantonese Cuisine.
Day 10 Guangzhou
Take a morning tour to the King’s
Mausoleum of NanYue, more
then 2000 years old. It is
considered as the top five discovery
of Chinese archeology in 20th
Century. Visit the Porcelain
Museum. Lunch will be the
Cantonese “Dim-Sum” Meal.
Afternoon you will have the opportunity to learn how to cook the well-known sea food cooking of China. Why not join the chefs and try your hand at cooking dinner for your
fellow travellers? Evening you will take a two hour river cruise on the mother river of Guangzhou the “Pearl River”. A buffet-dinner is arranged on the cruise.
Day 11 Departure
Transfer to the airport for your flight. |
