6 Days Sichuan Highlights Tour

Day 1 – Arriving Chengdu by flight
On arrival in Chengdu, you are met and transferred to hotel for overnight. Afternoon have a city tour to visit Kuan and Zhai Alleys, Jinli, Wangjiang Park. Evening enjoy local flavour dinner at Pansunshi Restaurant.

Kuan zhai Alley literally means “Wide and Narrow Alleys” in Chinese. But they are not really wide or narrow at all. Kuan Alley is the representative of the local culture in Chengdu. The feature of Zhai Alley is the leisure lifestyle.

Jinli Old Street opened to public in 2004. Walking in the stree and exploring the elegant style of the architecture you will get to know what Sichuan looks like during the Qing Dynasty. Sichuan Culture is inlayed in this ancient street. After its recent renovation, Jinli Ancient Street has become one of the trading streets in Chengdu.

Wangjiang which means River View, it is located on the south bank of Jinjiang River. The Park is one of three famous cultural relics in Chengdu. River View Tower is dedicated to a woman named Xue Tao who was a poet in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Since in ancient China women lacked social status, the story of Xue Tao is all the more fascinating.


Day 2 – Chengdu / Bifengxia
Transfer to Bifengxia National Giant Panda Reserve to visit the most endangered animal in the world. Stay one night in Bifengxia. Lunch is included today.

Construction of the Bifengxia Panda Center at Ya’an City, Sichuan Province began in October of 2002. It is a branch of the China Conservation & Research Center for the Giant Panda. The center has embraced it’s growing role in the breeding and research of the giant panda.

Day 3 – Bifengxia/Leshan/Zigong
Transfer to Leshan and to visit the World Heritage Site -- Leshan Giant Buddha. Also take a boat trip there. Continue the car journey to Zigong for overnight. Lunch is included today.

Accommodation: 4* Local Hotel

Leshan Giant Buddha is totally 71 meters high, 18 meters higher than the second largest stone Buddha of Bamyan in Afghanistan. It was built during the Tang Dynasty. With wonderful scene of the Giant Buddha, numerous interest places and contiguous scenic spots, it is just like a scroll of Chinese painting.

Day 4 – Zigong/Yibin
Morning visit Salt-making Museum and Dinosaur Museum. Car transfer to Yibin for one night. Lunch is included today.

Accommodation: 5* Eden Resort Hotel Yibin

Salt-making Museum is housed in the Xiqin Guildhall, built in 1736, the first year of Emperor Qianlong. The whole building complex highly represents Qing Dynasty's architectural achievement in the combination of imperial and civilian styles.

The Dinosaur Museum is a large museum which has been built at the world-famous Dashanpu Dinosaur Fauna. It is also the first professional dinosaur museum in China and one of the three largest dinosaur museums with burial site in the world.


Day 5 – Yibin/Chengdu
Morning visit Shunan Bamboo Sea. Afternoon car transfer back to Chengdu for one night. Lunch is included today.

Shunan Bamboo Sea is located in the south of Yibin city and occupy the area of 120 square kilometers. There are eight major main scenic areas with 134 sight spots. It has 58 bamboo species and spread over more than 70,000 acres. The scenic area integrating with landscape, caves, lakes and waterfalls shows the long history of bamboo plantation and the biggest original green bamboo park in China.

Day 6 – Departing Chengdu
Transfer to airport for your departure flight to the next destination.
