Chengde is a 4-5 hour bus or train ride from Beijing, and was once the summer resort for the Manchu emperors during the Qing dynasty. Things to see include an imperial park and eight monasteries built for the various ethnic groups of China. Beijing Weekend Trip to Chengde.

Xian is well-known for the Terracotta Warriors that were buried with the first emperor of China, Qinshihuang. The Ancient City Wall and the Shaanxi History Mueseum are also worth a visit.

Qingdao’s clean beaches, European architecture and great beer inspired from Lao Shan's crisp spring water make this city an idyllic getaway to stroll along the boardwalk while watching the sunrise over the ocean. 3 days trip to Qingdao.

Pingyao will fling you back to the history. The City Wall with its imposing glory, the numerous museums along the Ming Qing street, and the Qiao Family Courtyard House will show you the past prosperity of this city.

Qinhuangdao’s most well-known spots are Beidaihe and Shanhaiguan. Only 280km from Beijing, Beidaihe beach is a good choice for people in Beijing to enjoy a cool summer. Shanhaiguan is where the Great Wall meets the sea. 3 days Beach Holiday to Beidaihe.

Datong is fine choice for a weekend. The Hanging Monastery is quite breathtaking as it “hangs” from the side of the cliff, and the Yungang Grottoes is one of the three most famous series of caves with Buddhist carvings. If time permits, also visit the Wutaishan Mountain, one of the four best known Buddhist Mountains in China.

Tianjin is another big city, whose appearance and culture are much different from Beijing. Furthermore, with the Beijing-Tianjin Express railway, it’s only less than 30 minutes’ train ride between the two cities!

In summer, for beach activities around Beijing, you are advised to visit Beidaihe in Qinghuangdao or the beach in Qingdao. For water attractions, you can also visit Yanqi Lake, Longqingxia Gorge, Beihai Park, and Taoyuanxianju Scenic Spot. Please send us an email to enquire about details.
