Testimonials

Dear China Holidays:

My Comment Form is attached. It was nice speaking to you again. As mentioned, we had a lovely trip and good time. Our guide, Joy from Wuhan was excellent as she took care to find out what the customers want and to ensure we got what we wanted. She also walks quickly and can walk long distance. The young local guide is also a good walker. .......

Agatha

Really enjoyed our stay in Yangshuo. It was a wonderful experience lingering around West Street and have a beer in one of many cafe there.

Tude

Beijing Tours and China Tours was cheap price but high quality. And excellent guide in Xian! Many thanks for your all!

Traveler
HI! I like the Terracotta Warriors, but the guide is not very good!
Vic
We were very lucky to have had a very good guide in Xian. Named Michael, he is the native of Xian and graduated from Xian Forein Language Institute, one of many colleges there and he has given us many knowledge about Chinese history and culture. He was extremely good and all members of our group loved him.
Rick

I am thinking of visiting Zhangjiajie of Hunan Province in late autumn this year. Do you have any suggestions?

China Holidays
There are frequent flights from Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou to Zhangjiajie Airport. You may also take trains to get into Zhangjiajie. Spend three or four nights there. Three star hotels include Jinghao Hotel. You can also find some local guesthouses in Yuanjiajie and Shentangwan areas. As for the travel programme, we would suggest you to start with a hiking in the Reserve to visit Jinbian Stream, Shandao Gou, Yuanjiazhai, the First Bridge and Mihun Alter; the second day you may go for a visit to Yangjiajie, Tianbofu, Wulongzhai and the Rear Garden. The third day you may go for Tianzishan and Ten Li Corridor. The scenearies are stunning and less touristy.
Mia

Temple of Heaven is my favorite. Wonderful to see a 1000 year old cypress tree there. and many lively people as well.

Ken
yeah! great, me too!
Vicki

Don't miss the 3-D film in Han Yangling!! I was so surprised to learn Han Emperior had a re-married lady as his emperess. Chinese people were more open-minded 2000 years ago.

Annie

As for me, Han Yangling is truly worthy a visit and I was so happy to have seen it. Remember there is so much more to do in Xi'an, not just for Terra Cotta Warriors.

Traveler
Is it a museum? Where is it?
China Holidays
Hanyangling is the joint mausoleum of Emperor Jingdi (188BC-141BC) and Empress Wang, his consort. Constructed nearly 400 years later than Terra Cotta Warriors, it is now the largest and best mesuem of its kind in China. Historians record Jingdi a beneficent ruler who followed the Taoist principles of “doing nothing against nature”. He made peace with the northern nomads, lessened taxes and labour duties, and reduced some of the law’s crueller punishments. The museum has opened to public since 2005. Visitors follow sloping ramps leading to large underground halls where glass walls and glass floors allow unimpeded views of the excavation trenches. Exhibits are enormous in number and high in quality. The museum is about 1 hour drive from Xian and to the east of old airport express way. Open time 0830-1900 (winter -1800) with an entrance fee of USD14 per person. For more info and photos please refer to its official website:http://www.hylae.com/en/main.asp
