Day 01: Beijing/Datong
Meet at your city center hotel in Beijing and transfer to the railway station for the soft seat train to Datong in Shanxi Province. Train no.: K615 (15:40 - 21:45). Meet at Datong railway station and transfer to your hotel in Datong.
Accommodation: 4* Datong Hotel or same class
Day 02: Datong (B/L)
Today our first stop is Yungang Grottoes stretching for about 1 km from west to east. Move on to Huayan Temple on the western side of Datong city, the largest and most well preserved temple of the Liao and Jin dynasties in China. After lunch, continue to the Shanhua Monastery of the Tang Dynasty, located in central Datong within the old city walls. Then have a short stay at the Nine Dragon Screen, one of the three best-known Nine Dragons Screens in China.
Day 03: Datong - Hanging Temple - Yingxian Wooden Pagoda - Wutaishan ( B/L/D)
In the morning drive to Hanging Temple where Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are worshipped together. After lunch, we drive to visit the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian County, the oldest and largest wooden Buddhist pagoda existing in the world. After the whole day tour, transfer to Wutaishan.
Accommodation: 4* Huahui hotel or same class
Day 04: Wutaishan Tour (B/L/D)
Today full day tour to Mt. Wutai and its temples. We will visit Pusa Ding, Xiantong Temple and Ten Thousand Buddha Pavillion.
Day 05: Wutaishan/Datong ( B/L )
This morning is free for you to explore the other temple on Wutaishan. Drive back to Datong.
Day 06: Datong/Beijing (B )
Transfer to the railway station for the train back to Beijing (soft seat). Train No. K616 (08:33-14:33). Meet at Beijing west railway station and transfer back to your hotel.
