*Beijing Weekend tour to Pingyao

Situated in Shanxi Province, Pingyao is an ancient city with a history of over 2,700 years. The existing city walls were constructed in 1370, or the third year of Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty. It is the best-preserved county town of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. In 1997, it was included in the World Heritage List.

Day 01 Beijing/Taiyuan/Pingyao
Pick up at your city center hotel and transfer to the railway station for early morning D train to Taiyuan - capital city of Shanxi Province. Meet and transfer to the Qiao Family’s Compound. Built in 1756, the exquisite and exceptionally well-preserved structure is the masterpiece of traditional North China residence. Drive on to Pingyao and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you. Enjoy the night view of the old town by yourselves. L/D

Day 02: Pingyao/Taiyuan/Beijing
Full day tour in the town, visit the ancient City Wall and Rishengchang Exchange Shop in the morning. Then take a stroll along the Ming and Qing Street and stop at the County Governor's Office in the afternoon. Transfer to Taiyuan railway station for afternoon D train back Beijing. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel. B/L
