Day 01 – Monday
Arrive Shanghai
On arrival in Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to a downtown hotel for 2 nights stay.
Accommodation: 4* Lansheng Hotel (or the same class)
Day 02 – Tuesday
Shanghai
Morning tour to the Shanghai Museum, and then visit the classical Yu Garden which was built in 1559 in both Ming and Qing styles. After lunch visit the Old Town and the Jade Buddha Temple. Evening Acrobatic Show has been arranged. B/L/D
Day 03 – Wednesday
Shanghai/Yichang
Morning at leisure in Shanghai. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yichang. Visit Chinese Sturgeon Museum. After dinner you will be transferred to your Cruises for a four night upstream cruise to Chongqing. B/D

Day 04 – Thursday
Cruising
Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam. Sailling through the Three Gorges Shiplocks, sailing through Xiling Gorge. B/L/D
Day 05 – Friday
Cruising
Sailing through Wu Gorge, excursion to the Lesser Three, sailing through Qutang Gorge. B/L/D
Day 06 – Saturday
Cruising
Shore excursion of Fengdu or Wanxian. B/L/D
Day 07 – Sunday
Chongqing/Guilin
Arrive in Chongqing. Transfer to the airport for the flight to the Limestone mountain area of Guilin. Two nights stay in Guilin. B/L

Day 08 – Monday
Guilin
Full day Li River Cruise. The 40-mile journey to Yangshou glides through a landscape of natural beauty of mist shrouded crags and bamboo groves that have inspired painters and poets for centuries. Sightseeing in Yangshuo. Lunch on the boat, transfer back to Guilin in the afternoon. B/L
Day 09 – Tuesday
Guilin/Lijiang
Half-day tour includes the Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill for a picturesque view of the city and countryside. Take the flight to Lijiang via Kunming. Upon arrival, met and transferred to the hotel for 3 nights stay in Lijiang. B/L

Day 10 – Wednesday
Lijiang
Visit Yak Meadow of Jade Dragon Mountain (by chairlift to the top which is 4300m above sea level), Yufeng Monastery, residential house of Dr. Joseph Rock. Afternoon visit Black Dragon Pool. B/L
Day 11 – Thursday
Lijiang
Visit the First Bend of Yangtze (Stone Drum) and the Tiger Leaping Gorge. B/L
Day 12 – Friday
Lijiang/Shangri-la
Full day tour to visit the Sonzanlinsi and Pudacuo park. B/L

Day 13 – Saturday
Shangri-la/ Lhasa
Take the flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, met and transferred to the hotel for 3 nights stay in Lhasa. B/L/D

Day 14 – Sunday
Lhasa
We start today’s tour from Potala Palace- the home of the Dalai Lamas, then move on to Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s summer palace. In the afternoon visit Jokhang Temple, the home of the most precious Buddha image the country possesses- the Sakyamuni Buddha. We also visit Barkhor Square in the center of Lhasa to absorb the local culture. B/L/D
Day 15 – Monday
Lhasa
Today we will visit the Drepung Monastery on the western outskirts of Lhasa. It was once the largest and the wealthiest in Tibet. In the afternoon visit Sera Monastery, which was once rival to the Drepung. B/L/D
Day 16 – Tuesday
Lhasa/Xi’an
You will be met and transferred for your flight to Xi’an via Chengdu. B/D

Day 17 – Wednesday
Xi’an
Full day tour to the mighty army of 8000 Terracotta Warriors, the Huaqing Hot Springs and Great Mosque, which is the largest Mosque in China. You will also spend some time looking around the Muslim Quarter. B/L
Day 18 – Thursday
Xi’an/Beijing
Morning tour visit the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, take the afternoon flight to Beijing. B/L
Accommodation: 4* Grand Mercure Xidan Hotel (Or the same class)
Day 19 – Friday
Beijing
A day tour to Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city square, and the majestic Forbidden City, followed by the visit to the Panda Hall. You will then continue to the attractive Summer Palace and gardens. Peking Duck Dinner has been arranged this evening. B/L/D
Day 20 – Saturday
Beijing
Morning visit the Ming Tombs, Changling of the Ming Tombs. Afternoon visit the magnificent and mammoth cultural phenomenon – Great Wall at Badaling. Have dinner in Old Beijing restaurant. Enjoy an evening of Chinese Culture with the Kungfu Show. B/L/D
Day 21 – Sunday
Departure from Beijing
Met and transferred to the airport for your home country. B

In my understanding this trip is once in a life time trip. Really liked the whole arrangment.
