Dear China Holidays:

My Comment Form is attached. It was nice speaking to you again. As mentioned, we had a lovely trip and good time. Our guide, Joy from Wuhan was excellent as she took care to find out what the customers want and to ensure we got what we wanted. She also walks quickly and can walk long distance. The young local guide is also a good walker. .......

Gorge and Jean

We have come back from a tailor made China Highlights Tour. It is a wonderful trip. From the first day that I sent enquiry letter till the last day of tour, I felt their working staff and guides very professional. Their knowledge about China is profound and it was a very warm feeling that there always are someone looking after you when being afar from home!!

P Miller

I liked Beijing so much. I came to Beijing one day earlier than the rest of the group and spending the day in Houhai area. It was so enjoyable walking through Hutongs and watching the traditional corner of modern Beijing. People are so nice and patient when I asked them about the metro stations and other information. Besides, Beijing is a very tidy city, much cleaner than most western cities I have been to.

Traveler

I have just come back from the trip. Yangshuo is fantastic. I liked the beautiful countryside there and to see the fisherman and cormorants going fishing

Simone

We went to Tang Dynasty show in Xian which is at the same location as the Dumpling Banquet. Very nice show and we really enjoyed it.

Traveler
How is the dumpling banquet? I don't think i will like dumplings.
CH
Xi`an Dumpling Banquet has brought forth lots of new ideas in its color, fragrance, taste and style; and the ancient culture is added in the meantime. Thus, the dumpling is no longer a simple flour food. People change the tradition of using pork, beef, mutton and vegetable as its filling, chicken, duck, fish, pork, meat, egg, delicacies from land and sea and fresh vegetable, etc, in a word, include steaming, frying, toasting, etc. They add many tastes such as sour, sweet, peppery, etc. They make out various pretty and lovely styles such as flower, bird, grass, fish, ect. very artistic. Besides the traditional style of a new moon like. People who taste Xi`an Dumpling Banquet have had a deep happy memory. This is not only because its elegant shapes and delicious taste, but also because it includes plentiful cultural intension.
Liz

We are just back from China from a fantastic holiday. The Great Wall really blew me away, I couldn't believe I was actully standing on it! We went to Mutianyu section where is less touristy.

Amigo

I am not interested in Peking Opera and Kungfu Show. Can you book a show place for me like the local people do? Thanks.

To Amigo
National Centre for Perfoming Arts is probably the best choice. Website: http://www.chncpa.org/n457779/index.html Changan Theatre is ideal to viewing the traditional Chinese operas. Address: No 7 Jianguo Mennei Street Dongcheng Beijing Tel: 65101309 The third choice is Poly Theatre. Address: 14 Dongzhimen South Street Beijing Tel: 51664511 We can book the tickets for you.
Jim

we do not like Suzhou, can you cancel trip to Suzhou for us, if we book our journey with you? Thank u!

China Holidays
Please feel free to make any adjustment to the itinerary. You may cancel the trip to Suzhou. You can choose to spend a leisure day in Shanghai to go shopping or to explore some former colonial corners of the metropolitan city. Drop us a line, we would love to reply!
Traveler

Is this Friendship hotel the one near Zhong Guan Cun? Thought i had stayed there some 20 years ago, huge in area and elegant with beautiful Chinese gardens inside.

China Holidays Beijing
Hello, thanks for your interest to our itinerary. Yes the hotel mentioned is the Friendship Hotel you had stayed before. Constructed in 1954, it is the largest garden hotel in Asia. Nowadays the Block 1# has been converted to a five star hotel which had the most recent refurbishment in 2007. Block 2#, Block 3# and Block 4# are four star ones which have just been refurbished before 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. We now accommodate many of our clients in its four star sections and would very like to upgrade you to five star block upon your request. Gardens, fully equipped Gym and a standardised indoor swimming pool are the features of the hotel.
Claire

We just finished the itinerary, also enjoyed the vast variety of food. It all seemed excellent quality. The Huatong(Beijing) home cooked family meal was extremely good.

To Ellen:-

Nowadays in beijinng, art people talk lots about 798 Factory which is the premiere art distrct in China or even in whole Asia. Some top artists have their galleries in the area. You could find detailed info in their official website http://www.798art.org/about.html
The other one is China National Art Gallery (Meishuguan in Chinese) having exhibitions all year round. website: http://www.namoc.org/
Small art shops are also found in Liulichang and Panjiayuan areas.

Ellen

I will probably spend one more day in Beijing and hope to see some art galleries. Where would you recommend? I would like to see them by myself. Thanks in advance.

Al
Hiya, in National Art Gallery, there is now Turner's paintings from Tate London and will soon close on 28th of June.
Traveler

Yes, the excavation work began on June 13, 2009. As the new dig site is also open to toursits, so visitors may see colorful warriors now.

Traveler

I have heard that Terra Cotta Warriors Museum is going to excavate for the third time. Do you think we might see some colourful warriors soon?

To Coco

Yes, I think the best time to visit these places is either in Spring or in Autumn. Maybe September/October are the best..

Coco

I chose this trip in May, it is really fantastic! Not so many people.

Traveler

Yeah, I really enjoy this tour.

Traveler

Beijing is a city of contrasts. When we get out of a quiet hutong, we found surpringly that we are on a noisy street.

Juliet
I once did a mid-night walk in Beijing and that is how i found a true quietness there. I started from Tiananmen Square, turned to west to see the Egg and then to the south walking along the Front Gate street and then fascinating Ancient City Wall and finished at Arrow Gate. Unforgettable night!
Iory

Is also available in Xi'an

This is exactly the tour I took two years ago. Most of my friends take these destinations as their first tour in China. Others choose Yunnan, Xinjiang....

Note: Remember, you can change this itinerary to the way you want or to extend this tour to visit other Chinese cities or even neighboring countries, please do contact us, we will be happy to arrange it for you!
