Day 01: Beijing/Hohhot
Meet at your city center hotel and transfer to the railway station for your overnight soft-sleeper train to Hohhot.
Accommodation: soft sleeper on the train
Day 02: Xilamuren Grassland Tour (B/L/D)
Arrival in Hohhot in the morning. Go to Xilamuren grassland by car after breakfast (about 1.5 hours’ drive). At lunch taste the finger-mutton. After lunch, try horse-riding (at your own expense) on the grassland. Watch the three arts of Mongolian men: horse racing, wrestling and archery (you can take part in archery). Mongolian toast ceremony at dinner. Watch the Mongolian songs and dances performance at the bonfire party in the evening.

Day 03: Visit Kubuqi Desert (B/L/D)
See the grassland sunrise in the morning. Head to the Renosant Sand Bay of Kubuqi desert in Ordos city by bus after breakfast (4 hours’ drive). Pass the Yellow River Bridge on the way. Upon arrival, enter the hinterland of the desert by dune buggies. Go camel-riding on the sand and sand sliding (at own expenses). Get back to Hohhot and transfer to the railway station for your train back Beijing.

Day 04: Back in Beijing
Arrive Beijing in early morning and transfer to your hotel.
