Upon arrival in Guiyang, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for over night stay. Afternoon visit Jiaxiu Pavilion, the symbol building of Guiyang which enjoys a history of more than 400 years. B/L/D

November 3, 2010: Guiyang/Kaili (the starting date of Lusheng Festival)
Today you will take 2.5 hours’ car journey to Kaili. Visit kaili folk museum, afternoon visit Gejia people village to see their transitional way of making batik. Transfer to your 4 star hotel for 2 nights stay. B/L/D

November 4, 2010: Kaili
Full day to attend the Lusheng Festivals at Gulong. Activities include Antiphonal singing, Lusheng ( bamboo-reed pipe) dance and exciting bull fighting. No meal is arranged today.
November 5, 2010: Kaili/Rongjiang
In the morning, a short drive from Kaili along the Bala river will take us to Langde Long-skirt Miao village. You will be deeply impressed by its traditional wooden houses. Hike in the village to explore more. Then coach to Datang Short-Skirt Miao village situated at the foot of Leigong Mountain. You will be greeted by its friendly villagers and drink the block way wine before entering the village. Its silver ornaments will leave you a deep impression. A performance will be arranged. In the afternoon, continue our drive via Leigong Mountain to appreciate its mountainous landscape. En route, explore a Shui people village in a deep valley. Some hiking will be arranged to see its gorgeous terraced paddy fields. B/L/D

November 6, 2010: Rongjiang/Liping/ Zhaoxing
In the morning, explore Dali Dong village which has not been touched by travelers. In the afternoon, visit Dimen Dong village. Family visit will be arranged to explore their daily life. Late afternoon arrive Zhaoxing – the largest Dong village in China which boasts 5 drum towers symbolizing 5 different family clans. Evening performance: Dong People’s Great Song. You will see their festival dresses. B/L/D

November 7, 2010: Zhaoxing / Congjiang / Rongjiang
In the morning, explore Zhaoxing Dong village and climb to the top of a small hill to have a panorama view of five drum towers. A small stream cut this village into 5 sections. Then coach to Tang’an Dong village which is noted as the first ecological museum of Dong people. In the afternoon, visit Basha Miao village noted for men’s hair dresses and women’s shinning fabric from egg-white. Hike in this primitive village to experience its daily life with very little signs of modern influence.

November 8, 2010: Rongjiang / Sandu / Kaili
Morning 2.5 hours’ car transfer to Sandu enjoy the gorgeous scenery along Duliu river which is the only autonomous county of Shui people in China. Explore a Shui people village and you will be deeply impressed not only by their quiet life and also its gorgeous terraced fields. En route, visit Miao villages. You will find their wooden house in harmony with the nature. Those Miao people who moved to America and Europe are known as Hmong people. Boji will be the first Miao village to explore. We will experience their daily life by visiting the local families. Meanwhile, you can appreciate Miao people’s typical architecture- Wooden Stilt house. Then drive to Shiqiao to see its traditional way of making paper from the bark of mulberry tree. Then continue our drive to visit Qingman village. Late afternoon, arrive at Sandu. B/L/D

November 9, 2010: Kaili / Guiyang
Today you will be met and taken 2.5 hours’ car transfer back to Guiyang for your flight to the next destination. B
